Alongside the monumental announcement of granting district status to Hansi, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini underscored his commitment to the region’s physical growth by inaugurating and laying the foundation stones for development projects totaling ₹77 crore.
-
A “Historic Day” for Growth: During his address at the “Vikas Rally,” the CM emphasized that the transformation of Hansi into a district would be supported by world-class infrastructure. “Today is a historic day not just because of a new administrative status, but because we are laying the tracks for Hansi to become an industrial and educational powerhouse,” the CM remarked.

Key Projects Inaugurated:
-
Road Network Upgrades: A significant portion of the ₹77 crore was dedicated to the widening and strengthening of five major link roads connecting Hansi to its surrounding rural blocks, facilitating easier transport for farmers and traders.
-
Water Management: The CM inaugurated a new Drinking Water Supply Project and an upgraded sewerage treatment plant (STP) aimed at ending the water-logging issues that have plagued the old city areas.
-
Public Health: Foundation stones were laid for two new Community Health Centres (CHCs) equipped with modern diagnostic facilities, ensuring that rural residents don’t have to travel far for basic medical needs.
-
Educational Infrastructure: New wings for two government high schools and a local college were also part of the inauguration list.
-
-
Streamlining Administration: The CM also reviewed the progress of the local Antyodaya Saral Kendra, instructing officials to ensure that all 600+ government services are delivered seamlessly to the people of the newly formed district.
-
Political Sentiment: The move is seen as a major outreach to the influential Jat and non-Jat belts of the Hisar region. By combining administrative status with tangible monetary investment, the state government aims to consolidate its “Pro-Development” image in Western Haryana.
-
Immediate Impact: Work on several of the newly announced road projects is expected to commence by next week, with the Public Works Department (PWD) already having finalized the tenders.
