In a massive push to upgrade the state’s sporting infrastructure, the Haryana Government has announced a ₹491 crore development project for the Sports University of Haryana (formerly the Motilal Nehru School of Sports) at Rai, Sonepat.

The Vision: The Sports Minister stated that the objective is to transform the university into a world-class training hub that can rival international sports academies. “Haryana is the sports capital of India. By investing ₹491 crore into Rai, we are ensuring our athletes have access to the best technology, coaching, and facilities right here at home,” the Minister remarked.
