The long-standing shortage of revenue officials in Haryana is set to ease significantly as 152 newly trained patwaris are prepared to join the service. These officials have successfully completed their one-year mandatory training and are expected to receive their posting orders shortly, bringing much-needed relief to the administrative machinery in Karnal, Kurukshetra, and Yamunanagar districts.
Karnal to Benefit Most
The induction of these new officials is particularly critical for Karnal district, which has been grappling with an acute staff deficit.
-
The Numbers: Of the 152 new recruits, 98 patwaris belong to Karnal district.
-
Current Crisis: At present, against 153 sanctioned posts in Karnal, only 44 are filled, forcing existing staff to handle multiple circles. The arrival of nearly 100 new officials is expected to normalize operations and improve public service delivery.
