The Conflict: According to family members, a dispute broke out between 43-year-old Kamlesh and her 20-year-old daughter, Kajal, who was a computer science student. The reason for the argument remains unclear.

The Impulse: Overwhelmed by the domestic strife, Kajal reportedly rushed out of the house in an emotional state, heading towards the nearby railway tracks.

The Sacrifice: Her mother, Kamlesh, immediately gave chase in an attempt to pacify her and bring her home. As they reached the Delhi-Ambala rail line, the Jammu Mail Express (initially reported as the Shatabdi) was approaching at high speed.
