Key Events on Day 1: The first day featured high-voltage competitions in 100m and 400m sprints, Long Jump, Shot Put, and 5000m runs. Athletes from districts like Sonipat, Rohtak, and Bhiwani—often called the “Sports Hubs” of the state—dominated the early qualifying heats.

Selection for Nationals: The Haryana Athletics Association clarified that the gold and silver medalists from this meet will earn a direct spot in the Haryana squad for the National Open Athletics Championship scheduled to be held in Bengaluru later this month.
