Lado Laxmi Yojana Frenzy, Huge Queues At Village CSCs

Sep 15, 2025 | Haryana

The “Lado Laxmi” wave swept through Haryana today as the formal process for the state’s most anticipated cash-transfer scheme began. From the early hours of the morning, CSC centers in districts like Jind, Rohtak, and Hisar were packed with women eager to secure their monthly stipend.

  • Eligibility Criteria: To qualify for the ₹2,100 monthly benefit, applicants must meet the following:

    • Age: Between 23 and 60 years.

    • Income: Family annual income must be below ₹1 lakh (verified via Parivar Pehchan Patra).

    • Residency: Must be a permanent resident of Haryana (domiciled for at least 15 years).

  • The Registration Rush: While Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini has emphasized that the process is primarily digital via the Lado Lakshmi App, the rural population’s reliance on CSC operators has created a bottleneck. In some villages, “tokens” were distributed to manage the crowds as servers faced intermittent slowdowns due to high traffic.

  • Economic Impact: With a budget allocation of ₹5,000 crore, the scheme is expected to benefit nearly 20 lakh women in its first phase. The funds will be credited directly to beneficiaries’ bank accounts via Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

  • Government Warning: Authorities have cautioned citizens against fake websites and third-party links. Official registration is only valid through the designated app or government-authorized portals linked with the Family ID (PPP).
