In a major boost to rural infrastructure, the Yamunanagar-Jagadhri Municipal Corporation (MCYJ) has finalized a development plan worth Rs 1.52 crore specifically for Khera village. The project is part of the corporation’s initiative to bridge the gap between urban and rural amenities in areas under its jurisdiction.

Key Works Identified: The sanctioned budget will be utilized for several critical infrastructure projects in the village, including:

Road Network: Construction and repair of internal streets using high-quality inter-locking tiles and concrete.

Drainage System: Laying of new underground drainage pipelines to solve long-standing waterlogging issues during the monsoon.

Street Lighting: Installation of energy-efficient LED streetlights across all major crossings and residential lanes.

Administrative Approval: The tender process for these works is expected to be initiated within the next two weeks. Officials from the MCYJ engineering wing have already conducted a final site survey to ensure that the work meets the specific needs of the villagers.
