Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini today declared that Haryana is poised to become the primary “Growth Engine” of a developed India by 2047. Speaking at a high-level vision conclave, the CM outlined a comprehensive strategic road map aimed at aligning the state’s industrial and agricultural prowess with the national goal of Viksit Bharat @2047.

Strategic Pillars for 2047 The Chief Minister emphasized that Haryana’s contribution to the national GDP is significantly higher than its geographical size, and the state intends to double its economic output through four key pillars:

  • Industrial & Tech Innovation: Expanding the IT and Automobile hubs beyond Gurugram and Faridabad into the “Panchgram” cities planned along the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway.

  • Modern Agriculture: Transitioning from traditional farming to high-value horticulture and organic farming, backed by world-class food processing clusters.

  • Logistics Hub: Leveraging the state’s proximity to Delhi and its dense network of National Highways to make Haryana the logistics capital of North India.

  • Skill Empowerment: Training the youth in emerging technologies like AI, Green Energy, and Drone technology to meet global workforce demands.

Economic Aspirations “Haryana is not just a state; it is a land of opportunities. From our sportspersons to our farmers and entrepreneurs, every Haryanvi is contributing to the dream of a ‘Developed India’. We are building infrastructure today that will serve the requirements of 2047,” the CM stated. He noted that the state’s per capita income is already among the highest in India, and the goal is to bring it on par with developed global economies.

Institutional Framework To ensure these goals are met, the CM mentioned the role of the recently formed High-Level Monitoring Committee (led by the Chief Secretary) which will oversee mega-projects. The government is also working on a “State Vision Document 2047” that will be tabled in the next assembly session for detailed discussion.

Call to Action The CM concluded by calling upon the private sector and civil society to partner with the government. He highlighted that the “Double Engine” government (State and Center) is committed to ensuring that the benefits of development reach the last person in the queue (Antyodaya).
