In a major crackdown on the inter-state organized crime network, the Haryana Special Task Force (STF) has arrested four key operatives belonging to the notorious Rohit Godara and Goldy Brar gang. The arrests were made following a series of coordinated raids across multiple locations in the state, dealing a significant blow to the syndicate’s local operations.
The Operation The STF had been monitoring the movements of these individuals for several weeks based on technical surveillance and human intelligence.
-
The Arrest: The four gang members were intercepted while they were allegedly planning a high-profile extortion attempt or a targeted hit in the [Omitted – likely NCR/Gurugram or Hisar region].
-
Recoveries: During the search, the STF recovered four illegal sophisticated pistols, 12 live cartridges, and multiple mobile phones containing encrypted communication with handlers based abroad.
-
Background: Rohit Godara and Goldy Brar are known to be operating from foreign soil and are high-priority targets for Indian law enforcement agencies in connection with several high-profile murders and extortion rackets across North India.
Profile of the Arrested Preliminary interrogation has revealed that the arrested individuals were responsible for:
-
Extortion Management: Serving as the local muscle to threaten businessmen and traders in Haryana.
-
Logistics: Providing safe houses and weapons to “shooters” sent by the gang’s high command.
-
Information Gathering: Conducting ‘recce’ (reconnaissance) of potential targets.
Official Statement A senior STF official stated that the arrest of these four “active modules” has likely prevented a major crime in the state. “These individuals were directly in touch with Rohit Godara through internet-based calling apps. We are now working with the National Investigation Agency (NIA) to further squeeze the financial pipelines of this gang,” the official added.
The suspects have been booked under the Arms Act and relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) related to criminal conspiracy. They were produced before a magistrate today and have been sent to seven-day police remand for deeper interrogation regarding the gang’s future plans and hideouts.
