Yamunanagar-Jagadhri Mayor Suman Bahamani has taken strict note of the dilapidated condition of civic amenities in rural areas. During an inspection on Saturday, she directed officials to immediately “spruce up” the park located in front of the Government High School in Pansara village.

On-Spot Action: Unhappy with the lack of maintenance, the Mayor made a video call to the concerned official from the spot, issuing strict directions to rectify the situation.

Directives: She ordered the improvement of cleanliness and greenery, along with the installation of seating arrangements and other basic amenities.

Statement: “Parks are a source of relaxation for the city’s residents and neglecting them is an administrative failure,” Bahamani stated, warning that negligence toward public concerns would not be tolerated.

School Upgrade: During her visit, the Mayor interacted with government school students who demanded the school be upgraded to Class XII. They highlighted that girls were unable to pursue higher education due to the lack of senior secondary facilities nearby. The Mayor assured them she would take up the matter with the Education Minister.
