Yamunanagar ADC and SP Resolve Grievances at ‘Janta Darbar’ in Muzafat Kalan

In a bid to address public grievances at the grassroots level, the district administration of Yamunanagar organized a ‘Janta Darbar’ and a night stay programme at Muzafat Kalan village in the Pratap Nagar block. The initiative saw senior officials, including Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Naveen Ahuja and Superintendent of Police (SP) Kamaldeep Goyal, camping in the village to listen to residents’ issues directly.

On-the-Spot Resolutions & Grievances

A wide range of issues concerning civic amenities, social welfare schemes, and infrastructure were raised by residents from Muzafat Kalan and neighboring villages.

  • Civic Issues:

    • Rajesh Kumar (Chuharpur Kalan) raised the issue of rainwater drainage in front of his house.

    • Sushil Kumar complained about a dangerous 11 KV power line passing over the roof of his shop.

    • Santosh and Anil Kumar (Pratap Nagar) sought the removal of encroachments from their plots.

  • Family ID & Pension:

    • Jagpal (Muzafat Kalan) reported a wrong entry regarding a 400-yard plot in his family ID.

    • Ulfat sought a correction of his age in the family identity card.

    • Mangal Ram and Shubham raised issues regarding old-age and general pension discrepancies, respectively.

    • Jagmal Singh complained that the income declared in his family ID had not been verified.

Infrastructure Demands

The ‘Darbar’ also received collective demands from local panchayats:

  • Dam Construction: The gram panchayat of Kot Mustarka requested the construction of a dam on the Boli River.

  • Repair Works: The gram panchayat of Muzafat Kalan requested the extension and repair of the dam situated between Bhangeri and Muzafat villages.

  • Housing Funds: Shaukat (Ariyan village) requested the release of house repair funds under the housing scheme.

Official Action

ADC Naveen Ahuja and SP Kamaldeep Goyal heard the grievances patiently. While several minor issues were resolved on the spot, the ADC directed the concerned officials to expedite the resolution of pending matters and ensure that development projects are not delayed.
