The Vision Behind Patiala Help Club
Born and raised in Patiala, Puneet Singh Banga witnessed firsthand the challenges faced by ordinary citizens in getting their voices heard. As a young journalist working for traditional media, he felt frustrated by the limitations of conventional news reporting.
“I realized that real change doesn’t happen in newsrooms or government offices – it happens when communities come together and demand accountability,” Puneet reflects on his journey.
In 2020, during the pandemic, Puneet saw how misinformation was spreading while genuine community concerns were being ignored. This was the catalyst that led him to create Patiala Help Club – a platform where citizen journalism meets civic action.
