In a significant update to the mysterious death of a young playschool teacher, the Bhiwani Police addressed the public outrage today by releasing evidence that points toward suicide. The body of the victim, identified as Manisha, was discovered in a field near Singhani village on August 13, two days after she went missing.

  • CCTV & Purchase Evidence: Superintendent of Police (SP) Sumit Kumar stated that video surveillance from a local shop confirmed Manisha had purchased a specific quantity of insecticide. This was further backed by an entry in the seller’s register and forensic reports confirming poison in her viscera.

  • The Suicide Note: A handwritten note was recovered from her bag found near the body. Police confirm that the handwriting matches the victim’s. In the note, she reportedly expressed personal distress and apologized to her parents.

  • Post-Mortem Clarification: Addressing rumors of a “slit throat,” the SP clarified that the lacerations on her neck were “gnawing marks” from scavenging animals after her death, rather than injuries from a sharp weapon.

  • Family & Public Outrage: Despite the evidence, Manisha’s father and villagers of Dhani Laxman have rejected the suicide theory, alleging a “cover-up” and demanding a CBI inquiry. The tension in Bhiwani and Charkhi Dadri has led to a temporary suspension of mobile internet services to maintain law and order.

Legal Status: While the police have presented a suicide angle, the state government, bowing to public pressure and political demands, has officially decided to hand over the investigation to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) to ensure an impartial probe.
