Dec 25, 2025 | Haryana

The festive spirit of Christmas swept across Haryana today as the Christian community, joined by people from all walks of life, celebrated the birth of Jesus Christ with traditional fervor, prayers, and philanthropic activities.

  • CM’s Festive Message: Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini extended his heartiest greetings to the people of the state, particularly the Christian brethren. In his message, the CM emphasized the universal values of love, compassion, and forgiveness taught by Jesus Christ. “May this festival bring immense joy and prosperity to every household. Let us pledge to strengthen the bonds of brotherhood and communal harmony in our vibrant Haryana,” the CM shared via his official social media handles.

  • Midnight Mass & Morning Services:

    • Ambala: The historic Holy Redeemer Church in Ambala Cantt saw a massive gathering for the Midnight Mass. The church was beautifully illuminated, and the choir’s carols resonated through the air.

    • Gurugram: International churches and local chapels in the Millennium City witnessed large congregations. Special prayers were held for global peace and the well-being of the state.

    • Panchkula & Karnal: Vibrant tableaus depicting the Nativity scene (the birth of Christ) were the main attractions for children and visitors at local churches.

  • Philanthropy & Outreach: Marking the day of giving, several church committees and Christian associations organized blood donation camps and distributed blankets and warm clothes to the homeless at railway stations and bus stands, aligning with the “Service to Humanity” spirit of the season.

  • Interfaith Participation: A heartening feature of this year’s celebrations was the high level of interfaith participation. People from various communities were seen visiting churches to light candles and seek blessings, reflecting the syncretic culture of the region.

  • Security & Traffic: Local police administrations in Ambala and Gurugram made special arrangements for traffic management near churches to ensure that the influx of visitors did not lead to congestion. Strict vigil was maintained to ensure a peaceful and safe festive environment.
