Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini celebrated his 56th birthday on Sunday with a series of social outreach activities, prioritizing public service over lavish celebrations. The Chief Minister spent the day in Panchkula, visiting a children’s home, an old-age shelter, and a gaushala, where he announced significant financial grants for cow welfare.

Morning Engagements: The CM began his day at ‘Shishu Grih’ (a children’s home) in Panchkula, where he distributed sweets and interacted with the children. He then visited an old-age home to seek blessings from the elderly residents.

Community Connection: Later, he travelled to Samral village (Bhoj Naita) in the Morni area to listen to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s “Mann Ki Baat” radio programme alongside local villagers, reinforcing his connection with the grassroots.

Cow Welfare: At the Mata Mansa Devi Gaudham, accompanied by his wife Suman Saini, the CM performed ‘Gau Pujan’. He distributed cheques worth ₹1.22 crore as fodder grants to 14 gaushalas in the district.

Additional Grant: He also announced a grant of ₹20 lakh for the renovation of the road leading to the ancient Shiva temple on Saketari Hill.

Official Statements Addressing the gathering, CM Saini highlighted his government’s commitment to animal welfare, noting that the budget for the Haryana Gau Seva Aayog has been increased from ₹2 crore in 2014-15 to ₹595 crore in the current fiscal year. He added that solar power plants have been installed in 330 gaushalas across the state to promote self-reliance.
Dignitaries’ Wishes President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended their greetings to the Chief Minister. PM Modi, in a post on X (formerly Twitter), praised Saini as an “energetic leader” whose grassroots experience is benefiting the state’s development.
