Continuing the state government’s focus on urban rejuvenation, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini today dedicated the newly renovated Tau Devi Lal Park to the people of Hisar. The park, which has undergone an extensive makeover, is expected to serve as a major recreational hub and a vital “urban lung” for the city’s residents.
The Renovation Highlights The park has been upgraded with modern amenities while maintaining its traditional charm.

Modern Amenities: The renovation includes a newly paved walking track, an open-air gym for fitness enthusiasts, and a dedicated play area for children equipped with safe and modern equipment.

Beautification: The project saw the plantation of hundreds of native tree species, the installation of decorative LED lighting for evening visitors, and the restoration of the central fountain.

Accessibility: Special ramps and tactile paths have been added to make the park inclusive for senior citizens and persons with disabilities (PwDs).
CM’s Address Addressing the gathering, CM Saini emphasized that his government is committed to improving the “Ease of Living” in Haryana’s cities. “Parks like Tau Devi Lal are not just for walking; they are centers of community bonding and health. We are working to ensure every major colony in our districts has access to such green spaces,” the CM stated. He also paid floral tributes to the statue of Chaudhary Devi Lal located within the park premises.
Future Urban Projects During his visit to Hisar, the CM also reviewed several other developmental projects, including:

Stormwater Management: Speeding up the work on drainage systems to prevent waterlogging in low-lying areas during the monsoon.

Smart Lighting: A plan to convert all traditional streetlights in Hisar to smart LED systems.

Public Transport: Enhancing the frequency of city bus services to improve connectivity to the outskirts.
Local residents and morning walkers expressed their gratitude for the timely renovation, noting that the park had been in need of repairs for some time. The municipal authorities have been directed to ensure the regular maintenance of the park to keep it in pristine condition.
