In a move that promises to turn the dreams of hundreds of rural families into reality, the Haryana government has doubled down on its commitment to educational equity.
-
The Announcement: During a vibrant Children’s Day event at Indradhanush Auditorium, CM Nayab Saini declared that the Super-100 program is being upgraded to include more students from the economically weaker sections (EWS). “We are adding 500 new slots to ensure that every brilliant mind in our government schools gets a shot at IITs and AIIMS,” Saini stated.
-
Success Track Record: The decision follows the stellar performance of the previous batches, where a significant percentage of students from humble backgrounds (children of laborers and small farmers) cleared the JEE Advanced and NEET exams. The CM noted that the program has become a “National Model” for state-led educational reform.
-
Facilities Provided: The 500 additional beneficiaries will be selected through a rigorous State-Level Entrance Test (SET). Once selected, the government provides:
-
Residential Coaching: Specialized training by expert faculty in designated centers.
-
Stipend & Material: Free tablets, study modules, and a monthly stipend for miscellaneous expenses.
-
Mentorship: Regular interaction with alumni who have successfully cleared these exams.
-
-
Expanding Horizons: The CM also directed the Education Department to explore setting up “Mini-Super 100” hubs at the district level to provide foundation courses for students in Class 9 and 10.
