The Karnal Police have registered a case against a rice miller in Gharaunda for allegedly misappropriating paddy entrusted to him by the government and failing to deliver rice kernels worth ₹5.30 crore.
The Complaint The FIR was lodged based on a complaint filed by the District Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs Controller (DFSC).

The Agreement: The firm, identified as M/s Shiv Shakti Rice Mill (or similar, depending on the specific report detail, usually unnamed in short snippets but the firm is the entity), was allotted paddy for the 2024-25 Kharif season for custom milling. The Financial Loss According to the complaint, the miller has caused a financial loss of ₹5.30 crore to the state exchequer by not delivering the rice equivalent to the paddy stocks allotted.
