Haryana Govt Launches Week-Long Drive to Clear All Pending Files

Dec 22, 2025 | Haryana

In a major push toward administrative transparency and efficiency, the Haryana government today kicked off “Sushasan Saptah” (Good Governance Week). The week-long campaign, leading up to Good Governance Day on December 25th, is aimed at eliminating bureaucratic delays and resolving long-pending public grievances.

  • The Launch: Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini inaugurated the initiative at the Haryana Civil Secretariat, directing all Administrative Secretaries and Heads of Departments (HoDs) to ensure that no file remains pending on their desks without a valid reason by the end of the week. “Good governance is not just a slogan; it is the right of every citizen to receive timely services without running from pillar to post,” the CM said during the launch.

  • Key Targets for the Week:

    • File Clearance Drive: Every department has been tasked with identifying and processing files that have been stuck for more than 15 days. Special emphasis is being placed on files related to pensions, certificates, and land record approvals.

    • Grievance Redressal: The CM Window and the e-Samadhan portal will see intensified monitoring, with officers directed to provide time-bound solutions to complaints registered by common citizens.

    • Digital Adoption: The week will also promote the use of the e-Office system to ensure a 100% paperless workflow, allowing for real-time tracking of file movements.

  • Monitoring & Accountability: To ensure the drive’s success, the Chief Secretary’s office will receive daily status reports from all 22 districts. High-performing departments and officers will be recognized on December 25th, while those with unjustified pendency may face administrative action.

  • Public Interaction: Deputy Commissioners have been instructed to hold “Open Darbars” at the sub-division level throughout the week to hear public issues on the spot.

  • Symbolic Start: The CM symbolically cleared several long-standing files related to developmental projects in rural areas to mark the beginning of the campaign.
