Haryana Lado Lakshmi Yojana to Provide ₹2,100 Monthly to Women

Aug 28, 2025 | Haryana

In a major pre-election promise fulfillment, the Haryana government today finalized the roadmap for the Lado Lakshmi Yojana. The scheme is designed to provide a financial safety net to nearly 20 lakh women, transferring funds directly into their bank accounts through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system.

  • Eligibility Criteria: The benefit is open to both married and unmarried women who are permanent residents of Haryana. Applicants must be at least 23 years old. The primary filter for the scheme is the Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP), with the income limit currently set at ₹1.80 lakh per annum.

  • Exclusion Rules: To avoid duplication of benefits, women already receiving social security pensions—such as the Old Age Samman Allowance, Widow Pension, or Divyang Pension—will not be eligible for this additional monthly grant.

  • Digital-First Application: Unlike traditional schemes, there will be no physical forms. The government has tasked HARTRON with developing the “Lado Lakshmi App.” Women will need to perform a “liveness check” (face authentication) on the app to verify their identity and complete the e-KYC process.

  • Transition to Pension: A unique feature of the yojana is its seamless integration with other welfare tiers. Once a beneficiary reaches 60 years of age, she will be automatically transitioned to the Old Age Samman Allowance (Old Age Pension) without having to re-apply.
