Sep 4, 2025 | Haryana

In a significant relief for senior citizens across Haryana, the state government today announced that the newly hiked old-age pension is ready for distribution. The monthly allowance, which is a lifeline for many rural families, will now reach beneficiaries with the updated amount.

  • Revised Pension Rate: The Haryana government has fixed the monthly pension at ₹3,000. This hike is part of a series of welfare measures aimed at providing financial independence to the elderly.

  • Direct Bank Credits: Minister Krishan Kumar Bedi clarified that the funds will be transferred directly into the bank accounts linked with the Parivar Pehchan Patra (Family ID). This automated system ensures that the money reaches the rightful recipient without the need for physical paperwork or visiting government offices.

  • Coverage of Other Schemes: The minister also noted that the hike is not limited to senior citizens. The same increased rate of ₹3,000 per month will also apply to:

    • Widow Pension

    • Divyang (Disability) Pension

    • Financial Assistance for Destitute Children (partial increase)

  • Timeline for Payment: The department has completed the verification of the database. Beneficiaries can expect the “Samman Allowance” to reflect in their accounts within the next 10 days.
