In a significant leap toward transparent land governance, the Haryana government has successfully digitized more than 40.09 crore (40,09,10,631) revenue record images. This administrative milestone was achieved under the Modern Revenue Record Rooms (MRRR) initiative, aimed at preserving historical documents and providing citizens with seamless digital access to land titles.
-
Registry Efficiency: As of February 16, 2026, nearly 95% of property registries were completed within the mandatory five-day time limit, reflecting a massive reduction in bureaucratic delays.
-
Mutation Clearance: A total of 51,199 pending mutation cases were cleared across the state in the last month alone. Officials have been directed to clear all remaining pendency within the next 30 days.
-
Modernization Progress: Out of 64.34 lakh tatimas (sub-division of land parcels) received from the Survey of India, 60.79 lakh have been completed. Furthermore, land maps in 4,115 villages have been updated under the Bhu-Naksha initiative.
Impact on Citizens The digitization effort, integrated with the Web-HALRIS system, ensures that historical land records are safeguarded against physical damage or tampering. It allows landowners to access certified documents and track property status online, significantly reducing the need to visit tehsil offices.
Future Targets Sumita Misra instructed all Deputy Commissioners to prioritize the completion of the tatima update work by February 28, 2026. The state is also expanding its AgriStack (Haryana Farmer Registry) initiative, which has already enrolled over 10.76 lakh farmers, further integrating agricultural data with land ownership records.
