The industrial partnership between Haryana and Japan reached a new milestone today as the state secured fresh commitments aimed at revolutionizing its manufacturing and agricultural landscape.
-
Agri-Tech Revolution: A major portion of the ₹2,000 crore investment is led by Kubota Corporation, which plans to establish a state-of-the-art agricultural equipment manufacturing unit. This facility will introduce modern Japanese farming technology to local farmers, potentially boosting crop yields across the state.
-
Electronics and Materials: Seiren Co Ltd and Daikin have also signaled expansions. Seiren is reportedly investing in a mega project in Rohtak, focusing on advanced materials that will generate employment for over 1,700 local youth.
-
The “EoDB” Edge: The delegation highlighted Haryana’s “Single Window System” as a decisive factor. “The transparency and speed of approvals in Haryana are exemplary. It reduces the ‘gestation period’ for foreign companies, making it an ideal hub for global supply chains,” noted a lead representative from the delegation.
-
Employment Multiplier: The Industries Minister confirmed that these new projects are expected to create approximately 15,000 direct and indirect jobs over the next three years. The state is also discussing a dedicated Japanese Industrial Cluster in the Narayangarh region to house smaller Japanese ancillary units.

“We’ve seen the impact of Japanese companies in Gurugram and Manesar. If this investment moves into Rohtak and other districts, it will change the face of rural employment. It’s not just about the money; it’s about the work culture and technology they bring,” said a local industry analyst in Chandigarh.
