In a comprehensive review of local infrastructure and welfare schemes, Kalka MLA Shakti Rani Sharma chaired a high-level meeting with administrative officers of the Vyaspur subdivision in Yamunanagar district on Thursday. The meeting focused on accelerating ongoing development projects and ensuring the efficient implementation of government schemes.
During the session, the MLA directed officials from the Public Works Department (PWD), Health Department, Public Health Engineering, and Police Department to expedite pending works without compromising on quality. She emphasized that the primary responsibility of the administration is to ensure that the benefits of state and central schemes reach the “last person” in the queue.
Key welfare initiatives reviewed included the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, Khet Khaliyan Yojana, Shiv Dham Yojana, Har Ghar Har Chhat Yojana, and the Amrit Sarovar Yojana. The MLA also addressed critical local issues such as the condition of roads, the menace of overloaded vehicles, illegal mining, and the state of healthcare services. She issued strict instructions for the timely resolution of public grievances regarding law and order.
Following the meeting, Shakti Rani Sharma visited the Atal Library in Vyaspur town. She inspected the facility’s amenities, including seating arrangements, lighting, and book availability, and instructed officials to ensure a clean and conducive environment for students.
The meeting was also attended by BJP District President Rajesh Sapra, who noted that the government is working continuously for the common people’s welfare. Other key officials present included SDM Jaspal Singh Gill, DSP Harvinder Singh, former MLA Balwant Singh, and Sadhaura Municipal Committee Chairperson Shalini Sharma.
