Tourism Windfall: Government estimates suggest that the 21-day event will generate ₹100 crore in direct and indirect revenue. This includes significant spending at the Saras and Crafts Mela, which features over 600 stalls, and a massive surge in bookings for local hotels and homestays.

Global Footprint: Through the Ministry of External Affairs, invitations have been extended to scholars from 16 nations and ambassadors from over 20 countries. The “Global Gita Chanting” on December 1 (Gita Jayanti) will see lakhs of devotees joining online from 51 countries, further cementing the festival’s international status.

Infrastructure Blitz: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has sanctioned a special ₹250 crore grant for the development of Kurukshetra, a portion of which has been used to beautify the 182 pilgrimage sites within the 48-Kos radius.
