In a massive healthcare outreach initiative, over 5,300 people were screened and provided free medical consultation during the first phase of health camps organized across the Kurukshetra parliamentary constituency. The drive is being conducted under the directions of local Member of Parliament (MP) Naveen Jindal.
According to Dharamveer Singh, a former IAS officer and in-charge of the MP’s office, the camps are part of the broader “Kurukshetra Parliamentary Constituency Empowerment Campaign.” In the first phase, which concluded on February 2, a total of 5,337 individuals were examined across six locations: Pehowa, Kalayat, Pundri, Thanesar, Radaur, and Shahabad. Participants received free medicines and consultations from specialist doctors.
The initiative aims to cover the entire constituency through a series of 25 scheduled camps divided into four phases. The second phase of the campaign kicked off on February 3, and the entire series is set to conclude by March 5. Singh highlighted that the primary objective is to bring quality healthcare services directly to the people and raise health awareness in the region.
Following the completion of these phased camps, a Mega Health Camp is scheduled to be held in Kaithal on March 8, where specialized services on a larger scale will be available.
