Haryana is set to become a global hub for automotive expertise as Shri Vishwakarma Skill University (SVSU) bridges the gap between local talent and international industrial standards.
-
The Partnership: The MoU was signed between the Vice-Chancellor of SVSU and representatives of the German firm (a global leader in automotive engineering and parts manufacturing). The collaboration focuses on aligning the university’s curriculum with Germany’s renowned “Dual Vocational Training” system.
-
Key Training Areas:
-
Advanced Mechatronics: High-end robotic and mechanical integration.
-
EV Technology: Training on lithium-ion battery systems and electric drivetrains.
-
Global Standards: Instruction in ISO standards and precision engineering used in European automotive markets.
-
-
Earn While You Learn: Under this agreement, selected students will spend significant time on the shop floors of the German firm’s Indian facilities, receiving a monthly stipend while completing their degree or diploma.
-
International Mobility: A unique feature of this MoU is the provision for “Exchange Programs,” where top-performing students may get the chance to undergo advanced internships at the firm’s headquarters in Germany.
-
Official Statement: “This is a giant step toward our goal of making Haryana’s youth globally employable. Our students will now be trained on the same machines and technologies used in the best factories of Europe,” said the Vice-Chancellor during the event.
-
Boost to ‘Self-Reliant Haryana’: The initiative is seen as a major support for the state’s industrial policy, ensuring that the heavy concentration of automotive companies in the Gurugram-Manesar-Dharuhera belt has a steady supply of highly skilled local labor.
