The spirit of Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat took to the streets of Haryana today as the state’s residents participated in synchronized marathons to celebrate the legacy of the architect of modern India.

  • State-Level Enthusiasm: In Fatehabad, CM Nayab Singh Saini showered flower petals on participants at the MM College grounds before joining the 5-km run. He emphasized that the marathon was not just a physical activity but a “national pledge in motion.”

  • Gurugram & Panchkula Hubs: In Gurugram, the run commenced from the Tau Devilal Stadium, drawing a massive crowd from the corporate sector and RWA groups. Simultaneously, Panchkula saw heavy participation from sports enthusiasts and school children, who carried the Tricolour through the city’s main boulevards.

  • Cabinet Presence: To ensure every corner of the state was represented, Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar led the event in Karnal, while Energy Minister Anil Vij joined the crowds in Ambala. In total, events were held at nearly 100 locations across all 22 districts.

  • Anti-Drug Pledge: A unique feature of this year’s run was the integration of the “Drug-Free Haryana” campaign. At every flag-off point, participants took a dual oath—one for national unity and another to combat the menace of narcotics in their communities.

Community Sentiment

“Running alongside the Chief Minister and thousands of fellow Haryanvis today felt special. Sardar Patel united our geography, and events like this unite our hearts. Seeing the youth run with so much energy gives me hope for a stronger India,” said a 65-year-old retired teacher who completed the 3-km fun run in Panchkula.
