Aug 11, 2025 | Haryana

High-voltage drama unfolded at the DLF Phase-2 police station on August 11, after a group of transgender individuals allegedly attacked police personnel and vandalized government property. The clash, which began in the early hours of Monday, resulted in the arrest of nine individuals and left at least two police officers injured.

๐Ÿš“ The Spark: Early Morning Crackdown The conflict ignited around 4:00 AM on the MG Road stretch.

  • The Action: Following repeated complaints from local residents regarding public obscenity and explicit acts, a police rider team attempted to remove a group of transgender persons from the area.

  • The Escalation: The group reportedly resisted and attacked the patrolling team, damaging a police rider’s vehicle. Following this, nine individuals were detained and brought to the DLF Phase-2 station.

๐Ÿ”ฅ Chaos at the Police Station The situation worsened significantly when the group reached the station.

  • Vandalism: Enraged by the detention, the group allegedly created a massive ruckus inside the premises. They are accused of damaging an Emergency Response Vehicle (ERV/Dial 112) and physically assaulting on-duty officers.

  • Protest: In a shocking display of protest, some members of the group reportedly took off their clothes in public and shouted slogans against the police.

๐Ÿฅ Clash at Civil Hospital The violence spilled over to the Civil Hospital when the arrested individuals were taken for a mandatory medical check-up. Friends of the detainees reportedly arrived at the hospital and attempted to forcibly free them, leading to another scuffle that injured a constable.

โš–๏ธ Counter-Allegations The transgender group has leveled serious allegations against the police, claiming that some officers had pressured them for sexual favors earlier that night. However, Gurugram Police spokesperson Sandeep Kumar dismissed these claims as “baseless” and “unfounded,” stating the action was purely based on public complaints.

The nine arrested individuals, hailing from various states including West Bengal, Assam, and Bihar, have been booked for obstructing public servants, damaging government property, and spreading obscenity.
