AMRITSAR – The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has launched a new web portal to provide a transparent and detailed account of its flood relief efforts. SGPC president Harjinder Singh Dhami announced yesterday that the website, located at https://floodrelief.sgpc.net, will detail all contributions and expenditures related to the ongoing crisis. The move is a significant step towards ensuring accountability in the SGPC flood relief operations.

Dhami confirmed that the SGPC had initially allocated ₹20 crore for the relief work. The organization has received immense support from its members, staff, and the Sikh community (“sangat”), with over ₹6.09 crore received in contributions as of September 19, 2025.

The website details the financial outlay: more than ₹91.04 lakh has been spent on various relief works, while over ₹23.25 lakh has been utilized for medical services. In a crucial move to assist farmers and local volunteers, the SGPC has supplied a total of 22,000 litres of diesel for strengthening damaged embankments. This includes 6,000 litres for Khemkaran, 5,000 litres for Dera Baba Nanak, and 11,000 litres for Sultanpur Lodhi. Dhami also announced that an additional 8,000 litres of diesel would be given to the Sultanpur Lodhi area in the coming days.

The SGPC president stressed that all works are being undertaken with complete transparency and urged the community to continue their generous support. The contributions are vital for rebuilding homes, restoring farmlands, and providing essential supplies to the flood-affected population.
