Commemorating the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, observed as Good Governance Day, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini today took a giant stride toward “Minimum Government, Maximum Governance” by launching five new digital portals. These platforms are specifically designed to eliminate corruption and simplify complex processes related to social security and urban property.

  • Honoring a Visionary: The CM paid floral tributes to the late Bharat Ratna Atal Bihari Vajpayee, stating, “Atal ji dreamed of a nation where the citizen is empowered. Today, by leveraging technology, we are ensuring that the common man doesn’t have to visit government offices for their basic rights.”

  • The 5 New Digital Portals:

    1. E-Pension Verification Portal: A seamless system for pensioners to complete their annual “Life Certificate” verification via Aadhaar-based face authentication, removing the need to visit banks or treasuries.

    2. Property ID Correction Portal (Nagar Darshan 2.0): An AI-driven interface where urban residents can fix errors in their property names, areas, or categories with auto-approval for minor corrections.

    3. Proactive Pension Enrollment: A system that automatically identifies citizens turning 60 via PPP data and initiates their old-age pension without a separate application.

    4. Urban Asset Mapping System: A GIS-based portal for real-time tracking of government land and assets to prevent encroachments.

    5. E-Awas 2.0: An upgraded portal for the allotment of government residential quarters to employees, ensuring transparency and seniority-based queue management.

  • Impact on Transparency: The CM emphasized that these portals would be integrated with the Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP), making data sharing between departments instantaneous. This move is expected to clear a backlog of nearly 2 lakh property-related grievances across municipal corporations in the state.

  • Good Governance Awards: During the event, the CM also honored several IAS and HCS officers, along with field-level “CM Window” operators, for their exceptional contribution to public service delivery over the past year.

  • Citizen Feedback: To ensure these portals remain user-friendly, the government has launched a 24/7 “Digital Sahayta” helpline where users can report technical glitches or provide suggestions for improvement.
