HANUMANGARH – The newly formed Anti Gangster Task Force (AGTF) of the Rajasthan Police has delivered a major blow to organized crime by arresting six hardened miscreants and detaining a minor in a joint operation in the Gogamedi area of Hanumangarh. All arrested individuals are active members of the dreaded Rohit Godara and Virender Charan gangs.

The operation led to the recovery of a significant cache of illegal arms, including three foreign-made pistols with magazines and 70 live cartridges. Police authorities stated that the group was apprehended while planning a major criminal incident to assert the gang’s dominance in the region.

Hanumangarh SP, Hari Shankar, informed the media that the AGTF team successfully surrounded the miscreants near Ramgarh Ujjalwas village. The key arrested individual is Vikas alias Raju alias Pawan alias Shooter Jat, a history-sheeter with over a dozen cases registered against him for murder, extortion, robbery, and possession of illegal weapons.

The police investigation revealed that the gang leaders have deep criminal roots: Rohit Godara, a former mobile technician turned gangster, faces over 35 criminal cases, and Virender Charan is allegedly linked to arranging weapons and shooters for the murder of Rashtriya Rajput Karni Sena president Sukhdev Singh Gogamedi.

Other arrested members include Rajesh Jat (22), Raju Ram Jat (22), Parth Rathore (20), Rupinder Jat (20), and Mukesh Nayak (19). The AGTF’s swift action, following a tip-off about arms dealing, led to a brief confrontation where some miscreants sustained injuries while attempting to escape. The police affirmed that the arrests have successfully thwarted a major planned crime, and further interrogation is expected to reveal more links in the organized crime network.
