In a significant move to boost the morale of contractual staff, the Haryana Government has sanctioned an additional 5% increase in the monthly remuneration of employees hired under the Haryana Kaushal Rojgar Nigam (HKRN). This adjustment aims to offset inflationary pressures and provide financial relief to level 1, 2, and 3 category workers.
-
Impact of the Hike: The 5% increment will result in a monthly salary increase ranging from ₹900 to ₹1,200 for most employees, depending on their base pay and district category.
-
Experience-Based Incentives: In addition to the flat hike, the government reiterated its policy for experienced staff:
-
5-10 years of service: Eligible for a 10% total increase.
-
Over 10 years of service: Eligible for a 20% total increase over the entry-level pay.
-
-
District Categories: The hike applies across all three district tiers in Haryana. For instance, Level-1 employees in Category-I districts (like Gurugram and Panchkula) who were drawing ₹19,872 will now see their salaries revised to approximately ₹20,865.
-
Timely Disbursement: The Finance Department has cleared the files, and the revised salaries, along with arrears from July, are expected to be credited starting with the September pay cycle.
Official Vision: “Our government is dedicated to ensuring that ‘Kachha’ (contractual) employees are not exploited. By providing timely hikes and social security benefits like EPF and ESI through HKRN, we are creating a transparent and dignified work environment,” stated Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini during the announcement.
